Why is a raven like a writing desk?

I know I'm not the first person to combine a pen nib and a bird's beak, but it works so perfectly for this film. The lettering was stolen directly from the movie—isn't it great?

In other news, if you don't hear from me much this month, it's because I've signed up for the ridiculous National Novel Writing Month. That's right. My brother and friends have convinced me to write a novel during the month of November. I think it's going to be about two different people with different ambitions coming together...and it might also involve the end of the world. Yeah, I'm not really sure; it's still a bit sketchy.
